Tom Hanks is a man accomplishment! Tom Hanks is a man who understands failure and , more importantly, how to pull himself up by the bootstrap and start again. Tom Hanks is the son of an itinerant cook. Tom Hanks is a husband and a father.
Is ____________ qualified to be a member of the APCSD BOE?
__________ is a person of accomplishment. _______________ is a person that continues to give back to his community. _______________ is a person who understands failure and, more importantly, how to pull himself / herself up by the bootstrap and start again. ____________ is the child of a prominent person in our community. ______________ is a person that demonstrates to his / her children how to diagnose problems and than to have a plan to fix the problem.
The great part of this exercise is that YOU get to decide WHO__________________IS. Gauge your vote not by the color he / she is painted but by the record.
Would members of this community truly say that Bill Gates, Steve Jobs & Tom Hanks were not qualified to serve on the APCSD BOE? The answer is yes, if they did not agree with their agenda.
Please see the candidates actual records and vote on their records...........not by how they are defined by a few!!!

Nice to see BBS self promoting her kid on her We Love site. Too bad she couldn't hsare pics of all the kids, wait it's all about her.
Each candidate needs to be asked this question alone:
Have you directly supervised employees, managed a business budget, and worked directly with UNIONS, and please indicate at what employer?
If a candidate cannot answer this question, they ARE NOT qualified to sit on the Averill Park School Board, whose members are charged with the responsibility of providing guidance and policy, on all school matters.
Bill, please expand on the role of a school board member, and the duties this volunteer position includes. And futher tell us what the job DOES NOT involve, as some current board members seem to not understand both.
Lastly, I think it should be mandatory that each board member has a blog like this, so we can go directly to each board member with our concerns - and not through a school e-mail address. Some current Board members mis-use their personal school e-mail, to only speak to a select few "respected folks", and not to ALL taxpaying citizens of the Averill Park School DIstrict.
It is my understanding that Mr. Foster has sent out e-mails, that were not sent to ALL TAXPAYERS, and that he creates "groups" to speak to, thus leaving the rest of us out.
This is an example of mis-use of their elected volunteer position.
If people are looking to add a line to their resume, and not to keep education and fiscal responsibility as their personla guide in this role, they should not step up as a candidate.
And they should not complain about the time it takes to sit on this school board, and then seek re-election. That is childish behavior.

Otherwise, I am not alone on the Averill Park BOE gone wrong, and trying to make it go right.
Why did Chris Foster and another BIE member conduct meetings with residents in Forrest Glen? How did these residents get entitled to special audiences with Foster? Is it because there is money up there and he follows the money? These type of meetings seem real fishey to me.
Fishy to me also. That is how they campaign. Small house partys and the promise of access to the uppers in the district.
A friend of mine was asked to host a "house party" and she said that she would love to provided particular questions about the budget would be answered. Needless to say that particular house party never happened.
Do we all get to see a copy of the supposed emails being sent to people or are they just for a select few to view? After the last email sent out with nothing offensive in it I am simply curious as to the new ones being discussed on the We Love facebook.
