Hi,
I love Steve (not in a gay way!) but he and I are very different individuals. I have built a business on service and honesty. I can still do business on a hand shake, how many people can say that anymore?
Steve is just as honest and can do the same.
Our difference lies in style. As you have seen, Steve will fight the fight in open meetings. I will start the discussion behind closed doors and then move it public when I need public pressure to make them bend. You won't see anything happen, other than the result, unless it is becoming a battle.
Things that have been moved forward, email, long range planning, pep rally just to name a few. Last spring the Senior dance occurred. Tremont and I had many things in place to assure that and the overall success of the event.
BBS - BBS is no longer a trustee of St. Henrys. This not because of her political involvement this spring but simply the end of her term.
Have a great day

Thanks Bill! I'm looking forward to change and I completely agree with your approach. Starting the discussion behind closed doors so that the other BOE members are not surprised or feeling 'threatened' is best. That way at meetings they are not on the defense and are open to discussion. The public is here when you need to press the Board. Just let us know!
Bill, I look forward to having you represent us. It appears that you present yourself well and I might add in a professional manner. Your comment to Jessie concerning the Sand Lake lease was well put. You got your point accross without looking like you disagree with everything. Keep the good work up...
Will See.
Just curious is it legal for BOE members to discuss things other than contracts, personnel matters 'behind closed doors' (in executive session)? Don't all other discussions need to be with the public able to listen?
Here is some food for thought, for our pathetic BOE members, I was just wondering, why is Sand Lake still part of Miller Hill's name. If you look at the district site it still says, under district schools, Sand Lake/Miller Hill, now I was just wondering why can't we combine the two names George Washington/Poestenkill, I mean it only seams fair. Some of the GWS students and their families have been with GWS for a decade or more, they feel like they are being robbed of everything they once had, and that they are to just brush GWS away and except the fact that they are now PES, not going to happen, GWS should still have some recognition, these students have been GWS students for years and they deserve to represent their previous school along with their present school. You idiots might as well except it, we are not going to forget or give up on our school GWS. We have had to except the fact that we have to send our kids to PES but we still have our wonderful memories of GWS and the time we all spent there.

My thinking on this subect is that GW was never really a part of AP. We were rarly mentioned, never known location wise and often maligned.
I think that is an excellent and fair idea, if Miller Hill/Sand Lake is going to retain it's name then the only FAIR thing to do would be to rename the school Poestenskill/George Washington, granted being a GWS person I would rather see it the other way around but since that won't happen, at least for now, then the only fair way to compensate both the PES and GWS communities is to have the school renamed. If this isn't feasible then the name of SAND LAKE must be removed from Miller Hill as there is no longer any SAND LAKE SCHOOL ANYMORE, THAN THERE IS A GWS SCHOOL!
Did anyone see this on the PES web pages
Welcome to Poestenkill Elementary School
Our school, established in 1950, is founded on the philosophy that every child will learn and succeed. Bringing together students from the Poestenkill and George Washington Communities we ensure opportunities for each child to maximize individual potential in the pursuit of life-long learning by providing a safe, respectful and nurturing student-centered environment
Bill, IT seems like you have gone off the radar. Are you not using this forum anymore?
