The majority of workers of Averill Park are a great group of people. That is why our kids get a great education. Teachers, drivers, cleaners, and the rest.
What about those at the top?
District leaders that ignore the warning signs.

I just left the BOE meeting that was held at AMS on April 3 2008. Basically no one there.
We discussed the next version of the buget and then the unthinkable happened. Regina Cristo made a motion to adopt the budget, Pat Mckenna seconded and the board adopted the budget today. Vote was 5-2 Guess who the 2 were....
The board has been saying for the last 2 months that it would adopt on April 8th after public input. That time is now gone. Apparently the 5 board members didn't need to hear from the public. Now the only input from the public is going to be by vote on the budget in May. Anyone have an opinion?
Why doesnt someone put in print or ask at a meeting why Jo Moccia is looking elsewhere for employment. I hear a minimum of three districts have interviewed her so far. She gets in charge here, ruins the lives of many people and programs, then leaves to do her damage somewhere else? What a joke she is. Coincidentally, those three districts all hired someone else, at least their boards are smarter than ours.
Maybe the BOE is waiting to give Jo Moccia another 12% raise before they smarten up and get rid of her or she finally finds another district to poison. East Greenbush got rid of their Super., why cant we?
AP does have great people, too bad none of them are in the districts administration team!!!! Once you get beyond the actual school building level, there is no one to trust or count on!!
